With all five of the Chapters solved, you’ll unlock Final Clash. There are no words to collect in the conclusion of The Rise of the Golden Idol, but there are plenty of spots to examine. On this page, we’ll explain how to solve the final puzzles, and provide hints on how to do so.
Hints are provided for each chapter and scenario before the solution is given. Use the links below to jump to the hints for scenarios or the overall chapter. Alternatively, if you’re here for the solutions, you can go straight to them, too. All of the words you’ll need to find are included in tables with the locations.
Final Clash Walkthrough
First, you’ll need to investigate three different scenarios over three different times on December 16.
- Investigate OPIG at 1:45pm
- Investigate the OPIG van at 2.30pm
- Investigate OPTV at 3pm
Once you’ve gathered the clues, you’ll need to solve the OPIG tab at the bottom of the screen.
Hints to Solve OPIG Final Clash:
- Think about the projects you’ve seen taking place across the chapters. Consider the commercial you saw being created. What product was this pushing?
- For the second paragraph, think about the event that was shown at the start of this conclusion.
- Use information from the items on people for more details.
- You’ll still need to consider everything you need to know about the I.D.O.L
Solutions for OPIG Final Clash:
The goal of the OPIG Corporation’s ‘Happy Customer’ project was to increase O-Range sales.
To achieve this, those behind the project wanted to use the I.D.O.L, to give the memories of drinking O-Range with the drug Euphoria to millions of spectators watching the peil finals.
Completing OPIG:
Once you’ve finished with this tab, you can explore October 3rd, to understand more context.
The project was invented and led by Eugene Marmot.
Hints for I.D.O.L
- Use the Happy Customer project checklist that Marie Westlake has at the OPIG building to see the route the I.D.O.L should be taking
- The note in the lab reveals only 3 people should have the pin, but has someone else managed to get it?
- Check the sink and see how this connects to the next scene
- Someone has a bottle of the product that might give more insight
- Check the change in the lenses and the crystal colour
Solutions for I.D.O.L
Time | I.D.O.L Contents | Last User |
---|---|---|
Shortly before Eugene and Jack left the laboratory | Good memories of the O-Range | Eugene Marmot |
When the I.D.O.L was loaded into the van | Bad memories of the O-Range | Tim Spender |
When the I.D.O.L arrived at the TV Station | All memories of the square disk | Security Sergeant |
Completing I.D.O.L
After completing I.D.O.L, the Curse tab will be available. You can also explore the spots on November 8 for more clues.
Hints for Curse:
- Think of the scene from October 3 and use the newspaper for hints on who is behind the attacks.
- Consider who is on the ground and what you learned about them from a previous scenario. Why are they now dead? Who were they helping?
- Look at the crystal colour
- Consider the dialogue
Solutions for Curse:
After Tesa Nevari’s attack, the security protocol was changed. Consequently, Hunter Wolf, assisted by Luke Brown, ambushed Bruce Myson at the OPIG laboratory.
Then, Hunter Wolf used the I.D.O.L to take all memories from Luke Brown, and to give all memories to Bruce Myson.
Completing Curse:
Finishing up the Curse tab will unlock Broadcast, and another time on December 16th, which is 5.15 pm. You’ll then be able to see what’s taking place during the Piel Finals and at the OPTV station.
Hints for Broadcast:
- Investigate every room thoroughly, and see who invited who onto the roof. More than one person may have an item, but look what was left on the roof.
- Consider what Eugene is doing now, and what you learned about the contents of the I.D.O.L throughout the different stages.
- Don’t forget to check the information from the Piels Final.
Solutions for Broadcast:
Tim Spender trapped Eugene Marmot on the roof.
However, through a reckless act, Eugene Marmot stopped the broadcast, with the aim of preventing the spectators from getting bad memories of the O-Range. As a result, only Jack Nowak received all memories from the square disk.
Shortly afterwards, Tesa Nevari, along with accomplices stormed the TV station and threw the I.D.O.L out of the window.
Completing Broadcast:
Once you’ve worked out what happened at the TV station, December 4 will unlock in the top-left corner and you’ll be able to start the Hunter puzzle.
Hints for Hunter:
- The evidence from the Steelside warehouse suggests that someone was performing tests there, but who was it?
- There’s a note on Tesa in the TV station that reveals someone surprising was working with her
- Remember this scene from previous chapters, and where Isaac Nowak went off to
- Isaac Nowak uses a term for Jack, that he uses at the TV station
- Take another look at things connected to Jack and his desire to experiment further
- Look at the proposals for how to use the I.D.O.L
Solutions for Hunter:
Posing as Hunter Wolf, Jack Nowak secretly experimented with the I.D.O.L to find the best way of using it to educate humanity.
After becoming disillusioned, Jack Nowak decided the only way was to turn everyone into a genius.
To fulfill his plan, Jack Nowak tried to use the Happy Customer project to turn millions of spectators into Isaac Nowak.
However, because of what happened at the TV station, Jack Nowak was the only person to turn into Isaac Nowak.
