If you’re wondering where to get Opal in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you’re in luck. Once you’ve jumped into the Storybook Vale expansion, you won’t have to wait long to get this precious gem.
How to Get Opal in Dreamlight Valley
Opal can be found by mining rocks in The Bind. This is the first Biome you’ll unlock after traveling to Storybook Vale. Before you can get there, however, you’ll need to meet Merida by the entrance to the Library of Lore. Rescue her from the Inkies and your first quest will begin.
She’ll introduce you to the Lorekeeper, and your next task will be to recover the Royal Net. Once you’ve done this, you’ll need 500 Storybook Magic to unlock The Bind. You’ll naturally earn this during the opening quest of the Storybook Vale DLC.
When you’re inside The Bind, there are plenty of spots to mine for Opal. Look for nodes with a light blue crystal sticking out for guaranteed Opal drops. Opal can be sold for 300 Star Coins, while the Shiny Opal variant sells for 1,200 Star Coins.
